Hold on a moment while I wipe the cobwebs off of from my computer keyboard, it’s been a while since I sat down to write a post. I hope you haven’t forgotten about me;)
Well it feels good to be back…
I would like to start off by wishing everyone a belated Happy New Year and all the best for 2008! I know I have high expectations for the new year and for this blog and hope you’ve set your own personal goals and resolutions, as well.
Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men
If you’ve read my About Me page you may have noticed that I said I was planning a trip to South America sometime late in 2007, well sadly those plans were scrapped (for the time being).
Instead I decided to stay home, sleep in a bit, loaf around the house and take a vacation from writing my blog over the holidays and the first week of January.
It was great to relax, eat (a little too much), drink and have fun with family and friends. In addition, I had 2 friends (who are brothers from New Zealand) staying with me for the past week, and I’m still recovering from a few of the late nights we put in.
Back to Business

For 2008
I plan on introducing vidcasts and real life scenarios that should help readers to visualize a lot of what I talk about and apply much of it to your own unique situations.
A disconcerting story
(I decided not to publicize my impromptu vacation here on Chance Favors after reading about David Airey’s horror story. David writes a popular graphic design blog that I enjoy reading from time to time.
In late November he let it be known (on his blog) that he would be taking a month off from his blog. Well, a cracker read that and saw David’s vacation as the perfect time to try and crack his blog.
Although my blog is far less popular than his, after reading the story right before Christmas, I decided to just lay low until I was ready to, once again, put finger to keyboard.)
