Double HappinessOn February 13th I wrote 10 Simple Tips to StumbleUpon Success (That I Wish Someone Had Told Me About). At the end of that post I promised a follow up post around St. Patrick’s Day, well here it is!

This post won’t be quite as altruistic as the last. Some of the points I’m about to make might be categorized as tips; others would be categorized as observations or actionable ideas. Extrapolate what you will, and I hope you can use some of these to your advantage.

Also, this will be the last post I write in regards to (SU) StumbleUpon. Going forward, I will concentrate on writing financial planning and wealth building articles, as I want to stay true to the mission of my blog. Without further ado…

How to Reduce Your Taxable Income

happy to reduce income taxesLast week I received an email from a fellow blogger (we’ll call him Blogger X) letting me know that he was going to file his taxes soon, and he asked if I could offer him any last minute suggestions?

I responded to his email and offered a few pieces of advice, along with a few alternatives that I thought he could explore further. (It’s worth noting, I believe 2007 was the first year Blogger X earned an income from his blog.)

A mild disclaimer

I plan on detailing the gist of what I wrote to him in this post, but before I do, I want to say in big letters I AM NOT A CPA and before making any tax related decisions please consult your accountant and do your own due diligence.

Follow up to the Problogger article and comments

The feedback at Problogger was overwhelmingly positive and I’m glad I could share a few of my SEO tips with personal finance bloggers and bloggers alike.
