On February 13th I wrote 10 Simple Tips to StumbleUpon Success (That I Wish Someone Had Told Me About). At the end of that post I promised a follow up post around St. Patrick’s Day, well here it is!
This post won’t be quite as altruistic as the last. Some of the points I’m about to make might be categorized as tips; others would be categorized as observations or actionable ideas. Extrapolate what you will, and I hope you can use some of these to your advantage.
Also, this will be the last post I write in regards to (SU) StumbleUpon. Going forward, I will concentrate on writing financial planning and wealth building articles, as I want to stay true to the mission of my blog. Without further ado…

If you’re a blogger, then you know what a ’roundup’ post is.
If you’re not a blogger - a ’roundup’ post serves to highlight your favorite articles from around the web each week. I typically write my ’roundup’ post each Sunday and call it ‘Chance Flavors’ of the week.
The purpose of a roundup is to network with other bloggers in your niche. It’s kind of cool to be recognized by your peers for something you’ve written, it makes you feel good about all the time and hard work you’ve put in, and God knows all bloggers need a morale boast from time to time.
The intricacies of a ’roundup’ post

A good example of bloggers who are excellent at this, who I’d recommend modeling yourself after, are Pinyo from Moolanomy and Ron from The Wisdom Journal.

I’ve been a member of StumbleUpon since November 16th, 2007. I didn’t start using it in earnest until January 9th, 2008 @ 6:02pm EST.
That post was the first in a litany of posts that I’ve designated as one of ‘My Favorites’. In little over a month’s time I have nearly 100 fans (maybe today I’ll cross over;) and receive around 25 visitors who stumble upon my page each day.
In that time frame, I’ve learned heaps about SU and want to share 10 tips that can make you a big hit on StumbleUpon. But before I give you the TOP TEN, I need to do 2 things first:
#1 - Tell you about the approach I would recommend taking on StumbleUpon:
When I first came to SU, like many of you, I was looking at it as a way to bring traffic to my blog, but a beautiful thing happened along the way, I fell in love with the site. I now look at SU as the best way I know of to find and share interesting and helpful content with my SU friends, which I love doing (to a fault almost, very addictive).

I’d like to thank Darren at Problogger for posting my article on How to Herd Organic Search Traffic to Your Blog.
The feedback at Problogger was overwhelmingly positive and I’m glad I could share a few of my SEO tips with personal finance bloggers and bloggers alike.
I hope you were able to find something useful, that will help your blog grow exponentially.
On a personal note, I found Darren to be very accessible and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for giving the article the exposure it wouldn’t have had anywhere else!
Using the right ‘SEO Editor’ plug in
After reading all of the feedback, a lot of the questions focus on section #6 where I talked about the right ‘SEO Editor’ plug in. Before I go and add some additional information, I’d like to introduce Harris Beringer.
